This was just a quick sketch I did and I put some colour on it on the PC just as an experiment. I kinda like it.
looks like a singer for a band screaming..?
This is deadly! I love when someone can take simple lines (relatively - I'm talking about the profile of the face) & make a rock solid looking piece out of it. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for your stuff in future!
Thank you very much, this was just a 10 minute sketch for this daily thing I do but I liked it so took it further
10 minute sketch? Seriously!? Awesome!
The original yes, the edit took about 20 minutes though, in real life it's just light pencil on paper
Well it looks fantastic, I love it! Some people make the mistake of thinking that 'simplified' line work must be easier than stuff with tons of detail but I don't think so. To use the bare minimum of lines and still have a piece look as solid & as striking as this takes real talent! Have you ever thought about trying tattooing?
Thank you very much, I wanted to be a tattoo artist for a long time and went to art college for a few months but to be honest my line art isn't strong enough and I just don't have the volume of work for a portfolio, plus getting an apprenticeship here in the UK is very difficult Do you tattoo?
Nope, don't tattoo myself but I've flirted with the idea a few times so who knows what the future holds! I may have a few friends who would be willing to show me the ropes so I'm tempted... so very tempted! I reckon, going on what I can see on your profile that you'd probably kick ass at tattooing if you gave it a shot. The strong line work only comes from practice. That said there are TONS of careers you can go for in art. Any ideas what you'd like to end up doing?
I would love to tattoo but I always wonder if being able to draw on paper means you can use a machine? Guess you don't know til you try. Lucky you having friends that tattoo! I actually attended art college for 7 months in pursuit of becoming a tattoo artist or illustrator but I never found my niche, got intimidated by all my peers abilities, lost my confidence and amongst other family problems I eventually left and went to 'normal college'. But if I could choose I would do tattooing or customisation. Of anything. How about yourself, what are you planning on going into?
Hello, I don't think you are aware but the group has been closed due to the lack of an admin team, submissions are set to be automatically approved, so no one is running it, myself and a few people had decided that we didn't want to let this die so we took it upon ourselves to remake the group and move it here #BritishArtistGroup So please could you join and submit it to there and spread the word as there are still people like you that still do not know despite the last standing admin writing a journal about it. Thank you, and sorry for spamming your devianation
